Here is my method of painting the rims.

-Sandblast rims.
-Use rustoleum primer.
-Use rustoleum Antique White (very close to limestone) paint from spray
cans.
-Top with Pelucid clearcoat from POR using brush.

It worked quite well and seems to be very durable.
