Just returned from the People's Republic of Kalifornia. Had to drive from
SFO to Modesto and back for a funeral. Apparently, the rental car was one
of only three or four vehicles in the entire state fitted with a bit of
optional equipment:
a turn signal
I immediately identified myself to all as an out-of-state driver by
actually *using* it...
