But the pumps do have an inspection plate on the side facing the bulkhead which can be opened/drained so as to calibrate timing. The diesel tank is recently cleaned and flushed - I did it myself, so i am sure that algæ is not the problem. And the quality of diesel here in denmark is superb - and has been for at leastt he last 10 years - in the early 80's we had some problems, mostly with relation to freezing in the minus 20's (°C) but that problem is all but a thing of the past. I have tried fuelling with heating oil, which can be associated with water problems, but regular diesel here is fine. So it must be something else... thanks > Charles -- Adrian Redmond --------------------------------------------------- CHANNEL 6 TELEVISION DENMARK (Adrian Redmond) Foerlevvej 6 Mesing DK-8660 Skanderborg Denmark --------------------------------------------------- telephone (office) +45 86 57 22 66 telephone (home) +45 86 57 22 64 telefacsimile / data +45 86 57 24 46 mobile GSM (EFP unit) +45 40 74 75 64 mobile GSM (admin) +45 40 54 22 66 mobile NMT +45 30 86 75 66 e-mail channel6@post2.tele.dk HoTMaiL (www.e-mail) channel6denmark@hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------- --------------78BCFACD68B3FC6EAF59525A Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Description: Card for Adrian Redmond Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="vcard.vcf" begin: vcard fn: Adrian Redmond n: Redmond;Adrian org: Channel 6 Television / Denmark adr: Foerlevvej 6;;Mesing;Skanderborg;Jutland;DK-8660;Denmark email;internet: channel6@post2.tele.dk title: Head of production tel;work: +45 86 57 22 66 tel;fax: +45 86 57 24 46 tel;home: +45 86 57 22 64 x-mozilla-cpt: ;0 x-mozilla-html: TRUE end: vcard --------------78BCFACD68B3FC6EAF59525A-- ------------------------------[ <- Message 3 -> end | Table of Contents | <- Digest 970816 -> Archive Index | <- Browser -> ]

The time before that I took Marmite for myself, but the English shops stock that kind of thing... That first time, a few of use went out and shared a house. One guy had his girlfriend send jiffy bags of creme eggs (sweet gooy/fondanty/sticky stuff in an egg of Cadbury's chocolate) and twiglets (wheat[?] crisps coated in Marmite) - yep, you got it, the green customs forms said "Contents: creme eggs & twiglets" No, the creme eggs did not survive the postal system... It was a two part deal ~ this month and last month's issues and I think I might enter it, but I don't know what the deadline is Second~ In last month's issue, part one of the contest, question 2 asks about the vehicle pictured. Obviously it's not an SI, and it certainly is a 101, but weren't most 101s series IIa? Are there two right answers or am I missing something? Thanks Guys, Alex 69 IIa 89 RR p.s~ my AC sucks in the August heat as well. Anybody have any sugestions? I can't remember the questions or answers, but there were 3 production Forward Controls (unless someone can think of more): IIA, IIB, and 101" The 101" was a bit of a mix, including amongst other things, bits of Rangie. The IIA and IIB had reputations for being seriously underpowered. Beg to differ, but it's the other way round. The 3.5L/LT95 tranny combo were developed for the 101 in 1972, then later dropped into the Rangie. These are the only parts the 101 has in common with other landies, other than a few misc bits/fittings like door handle/latches, tail gate latches etc. Other than that, the 101 is unique. How is it that this drivetrain was "later dropped into the Rangie" when the Range Rover was introduced in 1970? These were underpowered as you might imagine, and when the V8 became available it was fitted with the first production 101's going to trials in 1972. I can't believe it's LR 'cause the >LRNA accessories decrease your off-highway abilities and both Safety >Devices and Superwinch USA say they don't. Can anyone shed some light? I believe its an ARB front bumper, with an integral brush bar. Just one big honkin chunk o'iron that bolts up where the original (probably now mangled) bumper went. Don't know what effect this has on airbag operation. Probably best to disable the frickin' airbag anyway after hearing all the reports of them causing serious death. As for the recovery points, they appear to be the standard recovery hitch that is offered by LR parts in the UK. These can be sourced elsewhere, but they aren't usually cheap regardless of where they come from. They are similar to the jaw/pin setup on the back of a standard NAS Series truck, only they don't protude as far and seem just a tad beefier. I seem to recall alot of these having a large yellow metal ring through them to allow quick hook-ups. This could be sourced either from RN(?) or McMaster Carr. Goin' to the jungle? Why don't you come with us this weekend?? later DaveB. ------------------------------[ <- Message 12 -> end | Table of Contents | <- Digest 970816 -> Archive Index | <- Browser -> ]
