For anyone who wants to know, I had been unsubscribed from 3 of the 4 LR nets
that I was on. Now to see ....

I just finished fitting the warranty replacement bonnet cable release on the 90.
What a difference! Apparently the original is prone to breaking - it did take a
hefty pull to release. The difference is probably the lithium grease I sprayed
on the cable before putting it into the sleeve. Now, even with the spare on the
bonnet it only needs a finger tip to release.
Love these simple fixes.

Does the digest still exist?

I was on it and seem to have 'mysteriously' dropped off, I've tried
to get back on using the instruction from a copy I saved dated 7
March and it doesn't seem to work.

Can someone plese advise me?

I've been wondering the same thing. I re-subscribed but still am not
getting any messages.

Subject: Tires pressure

Hello everybody,

Because of recent LRO problems, I'm not sure that everybody got
my mail, well, I send it again !

Here They are two questions for specialists :

1) Can anyone explain me if there is a good reason or not to put
larger tires than one's provided by default. For example,
putting some 235/..R16 in place of 205/80R16...

2) I read in a French 4X4 magazine that tires pressure
recommanded by constructors are always minimized and must be
increased by at least 1,25%. Is this affirmation true ?
Then, do I have to continue using following pressures for my
Disco (205/80R16 BFG Radial Long Trail T/A) :
    FRONT Wheels 1,9 Bars
    REAR Wheels 2,6 Bars
(Sorry but I don't have Lbs values)

Thanks for the input.

Cordialy.

Subject: Muddy waters

Just picked up my series IIa radiator from the repairer who told me it
was full of mud!

My guess is that the muddy water was sucked in crossing some very muddy
creeks. When the river water hits the radiator the cooling must create a
vacuum and suck water back through the overflow pipe the outlet of which
is thoughtfully positioned nice and low on the radiator.

Anyone else had this problem? And is the above a good guess?

Secondly any advice on the best way to flush out the engine block?
Although hopefully most of the sediment was trapped in the radiator.

Subject: Information about BFG tires

Hello,

Here is some information that has been requested via LRO about BF

They are new tipical tires for a 80% Road/Highway usage and 20%
off-road usage.

My technical english is not perfect so if anyone can translate the
following piece of text got from the manufacturer, it would be very
cool ! Thanks in advance...
