Hi all, I am off for a week of chassis painting, rewiring & gearbox rebuilding. I have unsubscribed, but if by some chance majordomo is up to his usual antics I'll still get postings. In that case my mail manager will forward a nice note to you all saying I'm not here. Should this happen could you unsubscribe me please Bill C, so I don't face a lynch mob on return. There is no way that the digest will be bounced to eveybody though. And I promise not to have the words warmest regards anywhere is the message. Wonder if I'll finish in a week. Hope you can cope without me, Steve Steve Reddock, Xyratex | Just as he thought he had Ext.(01705) 486363 x4450 | clinched the interview he was IBMMAIL (GBXYR96P) | visited by the ghost of Usenet Steve_Reddock@uk.xyratex.com | Postings Past. ------------------------------[ <- Message 3 -> end | Table of Contents | <- Digest 960209 -> Archive Index | <- Browser -> ]
Date: Fri, 09 Feb 1996 10:56:07 +0001 From: wassili@AMC.UVA.NL (Roy Wassili) Subject: Plush vs "oldmobiles" and Dormobiles Plush vs "oldmobiles": Just read an article on a modification on a D110. The guy used the air suspension from a brand new but now total loss RR and mounted the system under the D110. He's now able to lower or higher the hight of his D110 with a maximum of 13 cm ( 5.12" for those of the stone age ;-) ) between low and high position. Dormobiles: In an article in the latest edition of a Dutch 4x4 magazine I saw an interesting picture of a dormobile based on a D130. Picture is to be seen on: http://www.attache.nl/4wdmag/feb95.htm somewhere in the midle of the article. The article is in Dutch, but whe all know a LR if we see one! Plush vs "heritage": It's definitly a Discovery Tdi! Help. Sorry for all those who have just been spammed by this note - I don't know Bill The Hero's address. I am sending a note to majordomo@land-rover.team.net with the lines unsubscribe lro-digest unsubscribe uk-lro and all I get is a reply saying end of commands. My a-disk will collapse under the load if I get sent a weeks worth of stuff, without reading any. The same sort of problem occured on steepish long climbs. The problem was that the mounting angle of the carb caused the float to cut off fuel when inclined. This was only apparent during hills long enough to exhaust the float bowl. Have you checked the needle&seat adj.?
