IMO, the standard Rover axle is good enough for a swb, provided it's properly
maintained. Nothing like the winpy AMC 20 under the typical CJ and YJ yeeps.
If you *really* wanted a Salisbury, you would have to either move the spring
perches inward on the axle, or pur spring outriggers on the frame. Springs on
a 109 live outboard of the frame members. On an 88 they are right under the
frame.
