Zerk should be in towards the shaft, not on the flange side
- this just makes it possible to get to w/o a lot of
crawling and general annoyance.
As far as the installation, don't use a hammer if you can
possibly avoid it. Even with aa press those things are a
PITA to install. Another tip - pack the cups with the
bearings full of grease on the new joint - this will hold
the #$%%$#$#$% bearings in place as you press everything
into place. it's a bit messy, but playing chase the needle
bearing gets old very quickly...
