Tod writes According to my guide to British plates, the FK indicates it
was originally
registered in Dudley.
The military designations are completely different to the civil ones.
The sequence is strictly numerical and is therefore age related. FK is
from the late 70's/early 80's if my memory serves me well. The next
number became FL etc. They became G? sometime later in the 80"s
