        All genuine Series pinion gears are 4 spline. Some aftermarkets are 24
    spline but usually include a new 24 spline pinion flange with them. Salisbury
    pinion gears are 10 spline. Rover actually used a 4 spline pinion gear on the
    Rover style diffs thru approximately 1990 ish on all models (RR, Disco,
    Defender)
