What size and thread are the nuts that go on the long bolts for the door
top on a series vehicle? Does anyone make a wing nut for these?
    Thanks,
    Chuck

It really depends upon the manufacturer and the year of manufacture,
eraly Rover made tiops used 7/16" British Standard Fine thread (BSF) ,
then they changed to 7 /16" Unified National Fine (UNF) Aftermarket
products may vary, could be 10 mm metric of the above.
For the UNF thread it is possible to obtain, or manufacture your own,
quick nuts, this involes drilling the nut 7/16" dia at an angle so the
thread is removed from one side at the top and the other side at the
bottom, thus the nut can be slipped over the stud and then tightened
    quickly.
These kind of nuts are avaialble from comapnies like Carr lane
    fasteners, WDS etc.

    Regards
