Same phenomenon here (the price retention/appreciation), although production was
certainly not limited :-{>}
I've never sold a Land-Rover for less than what I paid for it. And yet the price of Landys in
southern Africa is cheap by US standards. New is another story. A new TD5 Defender 110
(5 door) sells for USD36500. There is an unjustifiably huge differential between new and a
few years old. A late model (97/98) TDi Defender will fetch about USD17000.
