While I am still a bit away from getting my 59-88" on the road I am
experiencing some real strange problems with my 97 rangie.
It all started back in the summer when I was unable to raise or lower
    the drivers window.
The computer message said "window not set"
Then in Oct.while on a backwoods trout fishing trip my battery went dead
and a helping hand attempted to boost me with the poles reversed....A
bit of smoke came off the terminals...we quickly disconnected, then
started it on the right terminals.
On the way home I discovered that the air con was blowing cold only on
the passenger side and full hot on the driver's side no matter how we
    tried to set the controls.
    It gets worse.
The stereo won't work, heater blows whatever temp it feels like, the
gearshift solenoid intermittently will not let me shift out of park, and
now the air susp. has a mind of its own.
It leads us to believe it may be the becu(body computer) and the heater
    control.
I know most of you will just laugh and say serves me right for driving
    something like that.
In allot of ways I will agree...However, I still can't drive my series
    yet.
I know there's allot of smart mechanics on our network.
Can anyone offer some helpful suggestions.(please be easy on me...as
    this is already painful)
Does anyone have a spare becu around. Are they interchangeable between
vehicles or so they have to be magically programed by the landrover
    dealership wizards?
    Kind regards to all,
    Bruce
