Another newbie question. I adjusted my clutch after installing a new slave cylinder to the specs in the bible and the rover seams to shift fine in forward gears but makes a lot of noise in reverse. There is the winding sound that seams familiar to running in reverse but there is also a loud clicking, ratcheting type sound too. Could it be a bad clutch or adjustment or am I missing teeth in reverse? I need some advise on how to trouble shoot this, I am not feeling ready to start tearing the transmission apart. I have been meaning to change out the gear oil, but I just got the thing running to where I can warm up the fluids to facilitate draining. Could it be low or bad fluids?

I also rebuilt the mech fuel pump and was still having fuel delivery troubles, so I installed an electric fuel pump. Is this blasphemy? I just thought the $30 would be money well spent to help diagnose the problem, and maybe save me some time and money in not needing to replace/rebuild the carb, because I thought that might be part of the problem.

    Thanks

    RICK
