    I have the reverse anomaly - my 67 IIa exMoD does not have the cover?! And I
    thought that was standard issue on the military versions? Luck of the draw I
    guess.

    At one time on this list, someone posted that they had cut a 3 inch hole in
    the right side of the tunnel cover, and plugged it with 'Plug for Tunnel
    Cover' (p/n 334189). Then they said that they did the same behind the shifter,
    right above the tranny filler. Unfortunately I don't have the whole e-mail,
    just those details.
