LOL, great story Rick Hope there were no serious injuries. What you want to
do is head to Lee Valley Tools. They sell a stainless steel mug with a
narrow top and a wide bottom. There is foam on the underside of the mug.
Anyway, this will hold something like an extra large Tim's. You can place it
on the transmission tunnel and it won't go anywhere. Through the sharpest
corners and over large bumps and potholes, the mug will stay put due to the
foam. I've had mine for several years now and though it doesn't see everyday
use (not much of a coffee drinker), it has held up perfectly. The top will
not pop off due to splashing, though a bit of coffee might come out the hole
for drinking. It will stay in the lid though. This has been extensively
roadtested in the my old 66 IIa 88.
