Which brings up memories from the list a long time back of a Series owner's
experience with keys which goes something like this:
He goes to a hardware store looking for a copy of his door key. The guy
doesn't have the right blank, but just as the rover owner is about to leave,
he comes up with a filing cabinet key blank which they take out to the
Series truck just to see if it fits in the door lock. It fits. And it
unlocks the door. The LRO asks the store owner if he can try it in the
ignition too. It fits, and it starts the truck... By this point the store
owner is rolling on the floor and tells him to keep the key for free just
for entertaining him.
This is one story that is true that may make it to Urban Legend status...
--pat.
One door lock found to have a broken off screwdriver tip in it. How stupid
could that person have felt when they broke their tool...
