I snail mail corresponded with Doug 5 years ago; he had a 110 defender
that was very modified for travels and not unlike a Dormobile. It was
a 3 door, with a top that elevated (all 4 corners had telescoping
poles). Had water tanks and propane, with the big oil carrying bumper
retained. At that time he was living in Malibu but had just returned
from a trip to central America.
