    Top spring goes from post on the leading shoe (the one in front) to a post
    on the backing plate. Bottom spring attaches to holes on both shoes. If
    you connect the leading shoe pulloff spring (the top one) to both shoes the
    brakes will not work! It sounds like the right side is correct. If it's
    pulling to the right, it's the *LEFT* side that's screwed up. check it.
