    OK - several thoughts come to mind here.

    1. Is the master adjsuted properly to release pressure at the top end of
    the travel? There should be 1/16" or so of free movement on the rod before
    the pedal begins to push in the master - and closes the fill valve.

    2. Bad rubber line between the slave and the line - seen this one before.
    Rubber rots and acts like a 1-way valve, not releasing pressure properly.
    The line could well blow out with air and still do this.
