    How about a variable speed supercharger drive with electronic speed control
    tied into the boost pressure and driving conditions.
    This way the boost could be fairly high at low rpm to promote high torques
    required for crawling around without stalling. At higher rpm the boost could
    be limited to prevent overstressing the engine.
