This makes sense as it seems that structurally it would be easier to spread
the pressure load over the whole surface of the tube shaped outer hull of
the aircraft rather than just the upper half of the tube and the flat floor
of the cabin. Kind of the reverse effect of a submarine hull I guess.
And I've never had anything freeze in my luggage so it can't be that cold
under there...
