If the compressor tries to start with more than about 7
pounds pressure in the tank it will trip the 15 amp breaker.
Teriann, are you sure the compressor's unloader valve is working right?
This is all the classic symptoms of a stuck unloader valve - compressor's
don't start well against back pressure.
Reason I ask is that this jhust happened to mine - unloader valve stuck and
made life annoying.
