about ten years ago I wrote an article explaining exactly why a bull-barred,
dirty, scratched Land Rover, with a roll cage even, was the ideal (UK) city
commuting vehicle. I worked in Manchester at the time - even taxi-cabs and
buses gave way! (and those of you who've driven in UK cities know what THAT
means)
