    There is definitely a license plate light on my 1960 109. And the tail lights look the same. I have the image here on my computer but fear the wrath of the list should I have attached it to this email so I didn't - just take my word for it.

      I would argue later than that. My reasoning: The license plate light. I
      believe that was added with the early IIa's. Before that, I thought they
      used the bottom half of the tailight (clear) to illuminate the plate.
      Anybody know for sure?
