    Are those black pieces supposed to fit 'tight' onto the nipple, or do
    you just hold them there enough to get suction?

    Those attachments are supposed to hold tightly over the bleed screw. I
    don't use them either - just go right to the plastic tubing with mine.

    Love the little damn thing - handy little tool.
