    I'd pull the plugs before cranking it without the coil connected. You may also
    squirt something like Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders and crank it a few
    times with the plugs out and the coil disconnected.

    My first thought was that you should invite other LR enthusiasts over for the
    starting and have some appropriate beverage on hand to toast the ocassion.
