If it were me I would place particular attention to the mechanical
linkage between the clutch slave cylinder and the throw out bearing. A
little slop here, exp multiple little slops can add up to a lot of
clutch travel play. Most people do not lube the bronze spherical
bearing so it and it's felt pads are often well worn. If the pins and
colour shaft going into the bell housing are even slightly elongated,
replace them. Same with the L shaped bell crank.
All this can make a big difference in how far you need to press the
clutch down to get it to release.
