Thanks for that Alan.
I don't think I'll bother getting into the Solex since I've got a brand new
Weber sitting on the shelf where it has been for the last four months
waiting for me to get at it.
And it's not a problem that really bothers me anyway. An additional six
seconds of cranking is not a hardship. Mind you, before I replaced the
fuel pump I had to crank between 40 and 50 seconds before ignition. Now
that can result in tears at the side of the road after trying to start a
cold-soaked engine and battery at -25C.
