Somehow I remember someone saying galvanized frames and bulkheads were an
option for South African assembled trucks until sometime in BMW's or
possibly after Ford's take over. Apparently they had a lot of problems with
corrosion in tropical and salt environments and offered it to give them a
leg up on the Japanese trucks which were guaranteed to rust. Supposedly the
option has been cancelled, unfortunately.
